Check back here often to find out what new things we are planning as we live into a post-pandemic life and church family!
2021 - rebounding from 2020
The year 2020 was a challenging year for all persons world-wide. We at Gray Memorial spent the largest part of last year only having online services. It’s now early 2021 and, thanks primarily to the Covid-19 vaccines, we are able to meet again in person.
We are continuing to follow the CDC guidelines regarding this pandemic: we wear masks, we sit with our family group-6 feet apart from others and we all use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the church building.
The Big Give – We are once again planning our Spring event called the Big Give. It will be held Saturday, June 5 from 8 am to 12 noon. Household items our members have donated to the church will be placed for sale on tables in the yard of the church. Anyone shopping may purchase items and pay any amount they wish – or whatever amount they can afford. Please join us on June 5 for a morning of fun and community fellowship!
After skipping Fall 2020, we will have our annual Pumpkin Patch during the month of October with a fall festival held on the last weekend of the month with bounce house, pony rides, vendors, food, and fun for all!
Christmas events in 2021 will include Christmas Eve services. We will have a family-oriented service at 7:00 pm on Christmas Eve with the singing of Christmas carols, prayer, and a candlelight singing of “Silent Night.”
We will have a candlelight service at 11:00 pm for those who want a quiet service to reflect on the real reason for the season and to have a time of peace in what usually is a very hectic time of year.
